Draco Cheerleading 2012

Yup. You read it right. I joined this cheer team in the very last minute.
I only trained with them for about a month or so.
Probably the biggest achievement of my life so far...as we won 1st runner up in cheerleading for IMU cup!

This is the first and last medal that I could ever own from a sport event.

I am not a sport person, I can't jog and run, can't swim, can't play table tennis, basketball, netball and all others.
Cheerleading is the only sport I love.

Before I join this team, I always pay them visit during their training sessions. I really feel grateful that I could have the second chance to join this team and compete for Draco house once again. Practically, Christina and Ee Von are like my fairy godladies because they make my dreams come true.

Even though I join this team quite last minute as in A MONTH AGO, I scare I couldn't bond well with my team mates. But actually that is an unnecessary concern because turns out we bonded quite well actually.
Ivan, me, Zaidah and Philip (My stunt team-Team Cullen)

Before the announcement of results, we actually been informed that we probably get 4th place. (same as last year) first thing I thought is we are jinxed because last year we also perform as the fourth team turns out we get fourth place. fck. so I thought this year too. we get fourth..after all the hardwork, sweat and tears and people's face been kicked..I cried.

Turns out everything is a prank. from our coach.
but still , we were all holding hand together and pray that we really score a chance to be on top 3, when the emcee announced that DRACO is on 1st runner up.
I jumped up and scream like nobody business.
I cried. (again).

and I cursed in my heart. fuck, i really win something this time.omg i gonna walk on that stage.

and Thanks to Philip and Ivan for making my dream come true.

女同学觉得韵律操是一定要有某些程度的人才能参加;

Hello, Mr. October

Well, the title speaks.
I still have my memories stucked at Chinese New Year , my little niece and nephews, St. Patrick's day and whatever now suddenly I reached the last quarter of the year 2012.

and my semester going to end after next week.
Toughest semester so far. Less subject but all subjects are very difficult.
I finally understand what Nutrition and Dietetics about when I reached sem 5:

counselling stimulated patient.
Study the core : Medical Nutrition Therapy
Research Proposal

Basically all these kind of prepare myself (mentally) about what I might ended up with.
Like this.

Having first batch of our senior graduated certainly bring some motivation.

A little update about whats going on around that I supposed to blog about but I didn't:

Met Dennis Yin last June and Anthony Neely in the same event <3 p="p">

Went to other area's charity dinner.

Ok i know is quite inappropriate updating this blog with some old photos but it actually something that I should have mention earlier. Sorrey!

I personally think this fortune cookie is not accurate.
I don't feel any richer this year (so far) ! hahahaha

Happy Mid-Autumn to everyone!

BKK, Thailand > Luang Prabang, Laos PDR (1)

Well, embrace yourself for this photos-flooded post. I registered myself in a humanitarian expedition by my university to Luang Prabang, Laos PDR 2 months ago. and yes, this is first post after my last updates. sorry for the laziness, not sure if anyone still care reading about it but this is the trip I must blog about. Which ...kinda remind me of my half blogged 2011 Aus trip. o.O

In case you not sure where is Laos, is a land-lock country in between Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and China.
in Chinese language,we know Laos as 辽国/寮国/老挝(wo1).

Anyway, I wouldn't thinking about visit this country if I never join the expedition trip. Original route in the itinerary was from KL to Vientiane (capital of Laos) and 10 freakinhours bus to Luang Prabang and a boat trip to the village. So me and 2 of my friends decided to take an alternative route by entering Bangkok and a non-stop flight to Luang Prabang the next day morning.

First visit to Thailand. :) I am the rare species of Malaysian who never visit Thailand before.

First sight of love about Bangkok is the cleanliness of the street.

Nice bathroom/toilet area of our hostel at Silom.

Must prove that I was there.

Those wires doesn't make this city less beautiful. :)

Tom Yummmmm

BTS ride to visit Chatuchak market.

the small icon with some yellow colour is the sign stated that: This seat is priority to Monks.

The market.

A bit regret on not wearing sunglasses and sunblock :)

50 baht (~RM5) for this one big cup of ice coffee from a road side stall. Taste better than SB/CB/SFC or other coffee houses in Malaysia.

Colourful street view :)

Siam Paragon's hypermarket

self-service salad bar, of course you need to pay.

Sausages. *Drooling*

Dinner at some random local Chinese wantan mee shop. here ends our Bangkok one day trip :)

our dinner.

15th July. Ready to check out.Lobby of Saphaipae hostel. Clean, nice, comfortable, affordable stay.

Heading to airport. Jokes: Taxi driver thinks I am a Thai.

Survanabhumi airport.

simple breakfast before boarding

On shuttle bus to our flight. Fish and Vanessa

Lao Airline.

Compact yet more LEG SPACE compare to..ahhem.

snacks.

Reaching.

Luang Prabang international airport. which requires 5 minutes driving distance from where the plane landed.

Heading to boat ride.

Mr. Peter, project coordinator. Thanks for all the arrangement of transport and accommodation.
You're looking at Mekong River.

Welcoming ritual. (photo taken by Hwei Ming) and this was the morning before we arrived. Just to show how they welcome their guests.

Muang Kham Village's multi purpose hall.
is a free case village. which means, is totally safe for you to have your front door unlock and your kids running around.

Lunch by host lady (we addressed her as Meh-mee) and her cook 'team'.

Vanessa and kids from the village

Our accommodation at the host family house number 2.

Kids were so happy cz they have new friends to play with.

Mr. Peter brought us to visit the schools and their library. We gonna paint their library and make it look like one with books. Previous batch built the library but due to time constraint, they couldn't finish the entire thing.

Classroom.

The one and only football field /assembly place.

Kids are enjoyed themselves following us up and down.

Their playground.

Convenient stall. is 24/7. better than 7-11. You can just knock the door whenever you need even when it is closed. Laos currency is in Kip.which is unavailable for exchange in M'sia or precisely, outside Laos PDR.
Tips: exchange your money to US dollar/Thai Baht before entering Laos and exchange it back to Thai Baht or USD before you leaving , or else, those Kip you bringing home will be worthless. ($1 USD = ~8000Kip)

to be continued. cheers
xoxo
